I am pretty impressed with our Roomba. I got it for Ed for his birthday, and it is scooting around the apartment picking crap up like a little pro. I would be complaining like hell, but this Roomba is a total trooper.
Big ups to my homies at iRobot. This is an awesome little robotic pet to have.

I’m full of frowns right now. I was reading while walking down the stairs, and missed a step. Now my ankle is all ouchy and sad, and it’s my own stupid fault. What adult reads a book while walking down stairs? I feel like these kinds of book-related injuries should be the stuff of my distant past by now.
There is seriously too much data in my brain right now.
Today I caused an issue in production. Everyone was very nice about it, and to be honest I’m sort of baffled as to how it happened, because it was something that I planned around and went out of my way to avoid, but I feel pretty bad. It was minor and easily fixed but it was just pretty embarrassing.
On the other hand, today the hubs read that there was a new food invented by Rubio’s...

Unlike the previous two junk food recipes, I am for sure going to make this one. CSA season starts next month and I never know what to do with turnips. I’ve been trying to learn to walk in heels for seriously years. I still can’t. I feel like it has to be something anatomical because if it was this hard for everyone to walk in heels I’m convinced nobody would do it. Yes, it’s fun and exciting to be tall…but not thaaat fun and exciting.
That said, I’m going to the Stanford grad formal and I am wearing 4-inch...
I’m screwing around with Ruby on Rails. Now I guess I get what all the fuss was about several years ago when it came out. D’oh.

Standing But Not Operating →
One of my big goals on our honeymoon in Japan was to visit an abandoned theme park like in an anime. However, I didn’t make it happen because…well, because of a lot of really sensible reasons. However, if I’m ever near any of these abandoned parks in the states I will not be deterred!

Work has been hard to take lately. You know you’re in trouble when you start IMing your husband at 2pm and begging him for something to punch.
I guess it’s partly my own fault for eating nothing but Taco Bell and jellybeans today. Maybe.
You know, I really feel no need to go back to work. Other than the need for money, obvs. These last two weeks have been so beautifully chill. Then, tomorrow, wham! Work, school, Macworld, all at once, plus I have to go change my name at the DMV. Any week where you visit the DMV is probably a bad week.

I just read this entire blog over the past week or so. Okay, I skimmed a lot of it, but seriously it is great. I so want to know where she teaches. I think she is for sure a physicist.
Turned in my last problem set today…and worked late. I have a deadline December 18th that I really, really, really want to meet.
Oh, also I applied for grad school…and had udon for dinner. I guess it was a kind of big day.
